With Arctic drilling imminent, significant expansion into the tar sands and over 50 years of damage in Nigeria, the case for targeting the oil giant Shell has rarely been greater. A new campaign launched this month by Friends of the Earth Netherlands is challenging Shell to clean up its oil spills in Nigeria’s oil rich Niger Delta region. You can get involved in the campaign against Shell by coming along to the latest campaigning event. On Friday 18 May, Platform will join a great line up of indigenous and environmental activist groups to present Get the Shell Out! at Toynbee Hall in London. The event will showcase the campaigns and actions that are addressing Shell’s destructive activities worldwide.
